According to the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching, Health & Wellness Coaches support clients in activating internal strengths and external resources to make sustainable and healthy lifestyle behavior changes. Health coaches use a client-centered approach wherein clients decide their goals, engage in self-discovery or active learning processes, and self-monitor behaviors to increase accountability, all within the context of an interpersonal relationship with a health coach.

Coaches assist individuals in formulating achievable goals using evidence-based tools to inspire change. Coaches prioritize the future and emphasize taking proactive steps. Coaches do not prescribe, diagnose, or treat, as professionals in fields such as therapy, medicine, or dietitians would.

Health and Wellness Coaches receive training in theories related to behavior change, motivational strategies, health education, and much more. I apply this knowledge to assist clients in initiating and maintaining positive transformations in physical, mental, spiritual, economic, environmental, and financial aspects of their lives.

The meeting cadence is up to you! However, it is most common to meet weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.

All 1:1 and group coaching sessions are virtual. Events can be held virtually or in person.
